This is going to grow the biggest tomatoes!!
I cannot wait until spring so I can start planting veggies, and tomatoes are our big thing every year. This tomato cage is going to be great in allowing me to really increase our bounty as this will allow the plants to grow and stay upright. These spokes are very sturdy, should be able to hold large tomatoes without much issue. I may plan to grow some sweet peas along side as it does take awhile for tomatoes to grow, and we can utilize the trellis for the peas while we wait! I do like the fact that we can fill the bottom of the container with water, which will allow the plants to get water as needed, I tend to overwater or underwater so hopefully this will take the guesswork out of it.Be advised, this is VERY tall once put together! Assembly was very fast and simple. I only had to look at the instructions a couple of times to make sure I was on the right track.For now, this will go out to my garage for storage and wait patiently for spring!

3 tier PVC planter with reservoir
This planter box with trellis kit is easy to assemble and fairly well made. To assemble it you slide the side pieces together and attach that to the base. You add the drainage piece for the bottom, and place the poles in corners. You can have up to 3 tiers which give the planter a total height of 58″. Included with the planter are clips and 66′ of twist tie tape on a dispenser.As far as the design is concerned, it will be good for supporting large tomato plants, but because the base tier is so wide, it won’t be effective until the plant grows a couple of feet tall – so use stakes at first or use a well started plant in this planter. It’s mostly made of PVC plastic, but the poles are coated metal which is important over time. There is a “self watering” feature. You can water the base of the planter instead of going from the top. I use a drip system however so I won’t be using it like that, but it is good that there is ample room for run off if needed.It’s nice that off season you can take this apart and it will take up very little space to store, which is evident when you see the box it comes in.

Great For My Tomatoes
Not really having space for a tomato plant in my flower beds, this Lazzmonk Raised Garden Bed Planter Box with Trellis is going to be perfect.The kit came well-packaged and I was able to put it together in about 20 minutes after a couple of missteps. Clips and twist ties were included to help secure the plants to the trellis.I really like the water tray and siphon system. For this planter, watering via the watering tray is a necessity unless you want water and soil seeping through the seams of the planter.The planter is nice looking and will look great on my patio. I think I’ll order another one for my Banana Peppers.

Indeterminate tomatoes, determinate space!
I love many varieties of tomatoes that simply aren’t ideal for raised beds. Having a non-existent yard in a rental means container gardening. Something like this is great, as I can use this for a breed I otherwise wouldn’t be able to grow. I will say I worry a bit about heavy weight and wind, but upon testing it’s ability to take a beating, I’m fairly impressed. Watering from the bottom is a must, and it’s nice that that is an option. Super impressed with the height and sturdiness for the height. Easy to assemble.

Self watering dark brown planter box with 58″ trellis.
When I first opened the box, I really wondered how all the plastic pieces could possibly be assembled into a useful planter box with trellis. Basically, you just snap together the sides, snap them onto the bottom, add the second bottom, which forms a watering compartment, and then start building the trellis. It took a little patience, some of the snaps didn’t want to snap, but eventually, it all came together.. The planter part is roughly a 10″ cube. The trellis is a bunch of plastic tubes, and plastic squares. When it was all done,, it was pretty nice.. It looked good, and it was a lot taller than I thought. TBH, I liked this so much that I ordered another one. I was thinking about growing beans, and I imagined some kind of light ropes in between the two of them. I am planning on reinforcing the trellis tubes with some glue. The seller included plant wire and branch clips so you are all set to grow tomatoes. This was fairly lightweight when assembled. I thought it was so good looking that you may want to have it on your porch or balcony. Even though I had doubts at first, I ended up being really, really happy at how it turned out. Quick update.. the second planter trellis was delivered. Definitely going with string beans.

Lazzmonk Raised Garden Bed Planter Box with Trellis – once together you will like it
The bottom is made of cheap plastic and after handling the plastic my hands had some residue that I immediately washed off. The instructions are easy to follow, the bottom four sides slide together and then as a unit clip into the bottom. The tubes are made of aluminum and coated with a material I can’t identify. I used a rubber mallet to tap the rods into place. Once you get it assembled you will like it. I am growing my tomatoes indoors under a plant light. The bottom holds any water residue and is easy to empty. I put the trellis on a silicone mat with raised edges to catch spilled water or dirt. This trellis also looks nice, doesn’t take up space, and fits nicely with my decor.
