This is a small feeder but it looks cute hanging in my tree. I think it will withstand winter weather very well. The little birds adapted to it quickly and they like it.

The birds love this and it’s so cute when the light comes on. Of course the light doesn’t show when it’s full of seed, but the birds in my neighborhood are voracious so there is only one night after filling that the light is completely blocked. The saucer seems to hold the seed very well, there is very little waste underneath. I have it hanging on a Shepard’s hook style hanger, away from trees so the squirrels haven’t figured out how to maraud it yet.Very easy to fill. Just pry the lid off at the top and pour the seed in!

EDITED 7/11/23After my review was published and the company read my review, they promptly reached out to me to advise me that they were sorry that their product didn’t meet my expectations. They also refunded me the entire amount that I paid for the feeder without me requesting them to do so! Although I wasn’t happy with the feeder it’s, I can’t be anymore impressed and happier with this company’s customer service, professionalism, and their desire to make their customers happy! The bird feeder was smaller than I expected and didn’t light up with the bird seed in it, but this doesn’t mean the product is poorly or cheaply made. It is a very nice product but it just didn’t fit what I was looking for. However, that doesn’t mean another person won’t enjoy it or meet their needs. Items like this are subjective and what one person doesn’t like doesn’t mean someone else won’t love it. But as far as their customer service goes, I haven’t been this impressed with a company in a very long time. It seems like now that companies are out to make a fast buck and they don’t care to deceive you, produce cheap products, and have zero after the sale service. So it was so nice to see that there are still companies that DO care about making their cus happy and doing what they can do if their customers are not. So I highly recommend this company and I assure you that anything you purchase through them, you can feel confident in knowing that if you have any issues with your purchase, they are going to make it right!!I was so excited to receive this. I thought the light pattern was beautiful. Which it is IF you don’t have any birdseed in it. Because as you can see by my photos, if there is birdseed, any at all….it lights up but does NOT leave the light pattern on the surface below or around it. It has to be completely empty in order for the lights to show up on the ground/surrounding area. So unless you are purchasing this just for looks and not a feeder, you will be disappointed like I am. Also, it is VERY small. The actual base that holds the seeds is about the same size as a standard coffee cup. According to what type of seeds you use, you won’t be able to get more than a cup of seeds into it. The base where the seeds are dispensed is extremely small/narrow. It is more for feeding small birds such as finches. Any bird larger can’t sit on the sides to feed.So I am very disappointed in this feeder all the way around. I wouldn’t purchase it again, I wouldn’t recommend it for a gift, or just for yourself. There are better ones out there. So keep scrolling and don’t hit that “Buy Now” link!!

Christmas Gift
Bought for Christmas Gift for mother.She likes to watch the Birds at the bird feeder so I figured I’d purchase one that lights up at night with a pattern design to it and a battery power solar light.Well she decided it was to Nice to put it outside and put bird feed in it.So she put it on top of her curio cabinet and turns on the light every now and then to see the pattern design of Hummingbirds on the wall.So she is very Happy with it and LOVES the design in it !

I was looking for a small metal bird feeder. Something that I could use to feed squirrels that they could not chew up. I love this little bird feeder. It is exactly what I was looking for with the added bonus of a solar light feature. I placed it outside a window which I call my *cat tv*. It works wonderfully both as a feeder and as a pretty glowing night light. As well as providing entertainment for the kitties. It is good quality for a reasonable price. Nice addition to any garden.

It is smaller than I envisaged. And the top cover isn’t wide enough to keep rainwater from landing directly in the bird food.

It was smaller than I thought it would be. So far the birds still prefer the older bird feeders but they will eventually use this new one. The squirrels seem to enjoy it. I have seen a blue jay feeding from it and a couple of cardinals.
