Great replacement.
My brother is a contractor and he advised me to request a tool only since I had batteries and chargers. My previous Dewalt finally burnt out after letting my brother-in-law use it. It was 7-years old. He told me to go with a brushless. This thing arrived. I can’t believe how small it is and it’s very strong. Works with the batteries. I have all good.

Great compact drill for using in tight spaces, like the closet for a pool pump/filter. I’m very pleased with it. Looks good too, kinda futuristic.

Good things can come in small packages
Great little drill, works just like the bigger drills. I use the little clip to hang it from my pocket and you don’t need a pouch. Another fine product from DeWalt

Good drill, compact
I got this drill because I found quite a number of situations where the “normal” drill was just too long to drill or drive screws. This drill doesn’t have the hammer action, but that is of relatively limited use. Coupled with a 1.5 AH or 2.0 AH battery, this makes for a compact every day driver/drill. Good balance, and it fits into my drill stand for those occasions I need to make repetitive holes or wood plugs for countersunk screws.

Very good drill for the money!!
I bought this bare tool!!So far it works great!! No problems!!Light and compact and easy to use. Good power and speed selection.Battery life seems good.I have only used this for a short time on light duty work, but have had no issues.I don’t know how it will perform under rough conditions, but I generally get good use out of My Dewalt tools!!

Dealt is junk
Junk. Will never buy Dewalt again. Had a dcd777 for about 2 years. Seldom used. Started acting up. Pull trigger, light flashed once. Drill dead. Same after several tries. Bought replacemeng, same model. Arrived with same problem. Returned for refund. Contacted Dewalt about fixing first unit. Addressed trigger concerns. Said first they have heard of problem. Cost to repair, $82 with 90 day warranty. Bought a new dcd794 for$79. Arrived and immediately checked with two newly charged batteries. Same problem. Dewalt, you have major issues!!!

Fantastic buy
The Dewalt DCD794B arrived in good condition, and when expected. The tool appears to be new and works as expected. I purchased as “Tool Only”. I received the tool along with belt clip and owner’s manual. One thing that did seem odd, however, is that it arrived in a plastic bag inside a plain cardboard box. It causes me to wonder why it was not in a branded box with packing molded to fit the tool. None the less, I am please with the purchase.

This drill is the American version and my son who I got it for says its brilliant very compact and great power for the size took about 3 weeks get delivered well worth the wait excellent well recommended if get it in stock with amazon sell very fast

I originally placed an order for this on September 4, 2024, but, checking the order status 2 days before the scheduled delivery, it had not been shipped and nor had my account been debited.Reading some of the reviews, I thought was a bit suspicious and cancelled the order.Two days later, I found the same model for $AUD37 cheaper and still shipped by Amazon US so I placed an order again.This time my account was debitted and the order status showed it was being shipped.It was delivered yesterday in a pretty beaten up unbranded cardboard box containing a New Price/Tool Haven branded plastic bag with a ‘with compliments’ slip inside.There was no padding in the box, but it did arrive with what looks like it is a genuine Dewalt instruction manual and the beltt clip.Oh, and http://www.newpriceinc.com is ‘unavailable’ due to site maintenance and http://www.toolhaven.com doesn’t exist.I have about a dozen DeWalt power tools and they ALWAYS arrive in a DeWalt branded box, and, often with a sticker with either the build date or serial number or both stuck to it somewhere.DeWalt tools must be registered online to be able to claim any warranty beyond the 12 month warranty provided by Australian consumer law.There is a build date where the battery clicks in and a model number, but no serial number I can find anywhere.This unit was made in Mexico late last year.Also, the model number is unusual in my experience with other DeWalt power tools. Typically, DeWalt model numbers include a suffixx which can identify whether the tool is skin only, part of a kit, or for a particular market.For example, DWE7491-RS or DCN680N-XJ.The model for this unit is DCD794 TY1 which returns no results from a Google search.I note, too, that the price has jumped $AUD47 since I placed the second order.However, having said all this, the drill is solidly built and exceeded my initial expectations with regards to speed control and power.It’s just that there are a few things about this purchase like there being no serial number and it being poorly packed without DeWalt branding that are slightly odd in my opinion which is why I have rated this only 3 stars.
