jumper wiresjumper wires

Jumper Wires

Jumper wires can be used for pin extension of the experiment board, adding experimental items, and the like. It can be connected very securely to the pins, eliminating the need for soldering and allowing quick circuit testing.

Our kit includes 65pcs male to male jumper wires, 20pcs male to female dupont wires, and 140pcs solderless jumper wires. which are completely adequate for various experiments.

74HC59574HC595

IC 74HC595

The 74HC595 consists of an 8−bit shift register and a storage register with three−state parallel outputs. It converts serial input into parallel output so that you can save IO ports of an MCU. The 74HC595 is widely used to indicate multipath LEDs and drive multi-bit segment displays. “Three-state” refers to the fact that you can set the output pins as either high, low or “high impedance.” With data latching, the instant output will not be affected during the shifting; with data output, you can cascade 74HC595s more easily.

4N354N35

IC 4N35

The 4N35 is a 4-terminal universal optocoupler that blocks the electrical connection between the signal source and the receiver of the signal, which effectively blocks electrical connections and interference. Commonly used in signal isolation transmission, switching power supply feedback control and so on. Common circuits include TV power supply parts (remote control switch, voltage feedback control), switching power supply, electric vehicle charger and many other aspects.

BuzzerBuzzer

Buzzer

An active buzzer will generate a tone using an internal oscillator, so all that is needed is a DC voltage. A passive buzzer requires an AC signal to make a sound. It is like an electromagnetic speaker, where a changing input signal produces the sound, rather than producing a tone automatically.

To identify them, if you apply a DC voltage to them and it buzzes, it’s an active. As far as commands go if you want to control the pitch, you would need a passive buzzer.

PN2222 NPN TransistorPN2222 NPN Transistor

PN2222 NPN Transistor

The PN2222 can be used as a switch that use a little current from the R3 digital output to control the much bigger current of the motor. Because the small DC motor is use more power than an R3 digital output can handle directly.

1N4007 Diode1N4007 Diode

1N4007 Diode

1N4007 Diode is a device which allows current flow through only one direction. That is the current should always flow from the Anode to cathode. The cathode terminal can be identified by using a grey bar as shown in the picture above. For 1N4007 Diode, the maximum current carrying capacity is 1A it withstand peaks up to 30A. Hence we can use this in circuits that are designed for less than 1A. The reverse current is 5uA which is negligible.

Electrolytic CapacitorElectrolytic Capacitor

Electrolytic Capacitor

Electrolytic capacitor is a type of capacitor that uses an electrolyte to achieve a larger capacitance than other capacitor types. An electrolyte is a liquid or gel containing a high concentration of ions. Almost all electrolytic capacitors are polarized, which means that the voltage on the positive terminal must always be greater than the voltage on the negative terminal.

Ceramic CapacitorCeramic Capacitor

Ceramic Capacitor

Ceramic capacitor uses a ceramic material as the dielectric. Ceramics were one of the first materials to be used in the production of capacitors, as it was a known insulator. Ceramic capacitors are usually made with very small capacitance values. Ceramic capacitors are also very small in size and have a low maximum rated voltage. They are not polarized, which means that they may be safely connected to an AC source. Ceramic capacitors have a great frequency response due to low parasitic effects such as resistance or inductance.

    Perfect for a youngster
UPDATE: I just realized that this kit comes with only two ICs. Not a problem for me because I have a stock pile of old ICs I’ve had for years. If you are new to breadboarding, you will want to get a mix of ICs, starting with a 555 timer. Amazon has a great selection of IC Kits, so pick one within your budget and have fun! This is a great little kit. I’m retired now, but I made my living for many years as an Electronics Tech, so I thought it would be fun to “play around” a little. This kit has plenty of bits and pieces to spend many hours just playing around, but I find the components are small for my clumsy hands and fading vision. I made a couple of projects and plan to make a few more, but eventually I’ll have to pass it on to the younger generation. If you have a pre-teen or teen with an interest in this sort of thing, I happily recommend this kit.

    Great for beginners
I’m pleasantly surprised with how much is provided in the kit especially with how inexpensive it is. I’m just starting to learn how to build microcontrollers in my engineering class, and this kit has all of the components I need for my class. All of the components are in great condition, and work well with the sensors I have attached as well. Highly recommend!

    Nice assortment; liked everything (almost…)
Overall a nice assortment of parts at a very reasonable price. The breadboard is ok, but like most of the ‘inexpensive from the East’ breadboards, it’s sockets tend to get ‘tired’ quickly. Namely if you plug a jumper into a hole on the breadboard, then try to replace it with something that has a smaller lead, you’ll find the hole is often now too expanded to grip the smaller lead. This is very noticeable with the resistors supplied with the kit, which have much smaller gauge leads than the jumpers (in least in my kit this is true). There are resistors with larger gauge size (smaller gauge number) that would be a much better choice (I have some from a C*n*kit and from other sources). It’s a bit hard to be very critical when the price is so reasonable, but still… So watch out when setting up circuits with components that are a bit loose in the breadboard – your circuit may be quite likely to have intermittent problems.

Got this to spend time with my 9 year old
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve bought breadboard kits like this for myself as an adult 😛 but these are neat for playing around with electronics with an interested child.

    Decent beginners’ component assortment
I purchased the “REXQualis” component kit because I’ve been wanting to re-start an electronics hobby I had when much younger and needed a starting point to get my components/parts collection started again. I hadn’t heard of the brand before and selected this item based only on the price and contents promised.Overall, this is a rather decent little beginner’s kit. Most importantly, it offers a good-quality breadboard and power supply to begin with. The LEDs and buzzers provide a few little things to “play” with lighting up and making noise, while there’s not so many solid-state & passive components to be overwhelming. Within a week or two I knew what additional items I wanted to purchase (or what I needed to build with) and was able to easily browse online (Amazon & others) to start adding to this collection. Many months later, now, and I have a huge stockpile of parts and tools. I love spending my spare time tinkering, building, and learning. This hobby is fun and very rewarding…kinda like working a puzzle, and for me it all started with the purchase of this little kit.The only little issues or complaints I have are minor. Mainly, there could be much better literature or online support offered. The web-site link provided leads to online pages that could have been organized and edited much better. I think the seller could have offered more along the lines of sample projects and info. behind the individual components. This is there…but only in limited ways.If you’re a beginner, or wanting to start or add to a parts collection, then this kit is very good. It’s been a great starting point for me. Just keep in mind, you may need to be a little resourceful online when looking for buildable project ideas.

Really great starter kit, or extras. Provides lots of variety of components, all the major sizes of resistors and capacitors that you might need. All the components are decent quality and well organized. It would’ve been nice if there were better specs or model numbers included for some of the components, especially on the LEDs. From my testing, the LEDs measure out approximately as follows:Yellow = 10mA @ 2.1vRed = 20mA @ 2.3vBlue = 20mA @ 3.2vGreen = 20mA @ 3.5vWhite = 20mA @ 3.7vSince they are unmarked, I can’t confirm the values are exactly correct, and your LEDs may be different than mine so YMMV. Be careful of the Yellow LEDs they are much more sensitive to higher voltages/currents than the other colors. I burned out several of mine.
