Fantastic!
This is an amazing book for kids and adults alike. It’s packed with facts about famous basketball stars and historical occurrances within the sport. I’ll admit my favorite part wasn’t even learning about the players, it was the section on incidents where animals interfered with the games. So funny and interesting! But I definitely did enjoy learning about Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and the others. The activities in the back were fun too. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves basketball, and especially young fans.

Thorough and FUN
The 11 profiles in this book are thorough and well-written. You really get to know the players and their background. It’s all told in a style that is fun to read. And then you have the “Amazing Facts, Records, and Moments” which are amusing, much shorter stories. Sorry to be cliche, but really, if you know a youngster who is interested in basketball history, this is a slam dunk of a gift for them (or for yourself).

Good book with many great stories, but prefer the new book NBA’s 50 Greatest Players of All-Time 75th Anniversary Edition – which also has many great stories built in to each players chapter including the best chapter overall (high school, college, and pro) on Stephen Curry and LeBron James ever put together in 14 and 26 stellar pages.

I’m a basket ball enthusiast who loves reading books and biographies on some great basketball players worldwide. Having read the entire book I can safely say this has been one of my favourite books yet. These stories really inspire me as a basketball player to push myself and achieve greatness! The stories are all written well and easy to understand making it ideal for young readers aswell. One thing I don’t like about this book is how each story is a little long. I would prefer briefer stories to be honest.
