5 stars for price, storage, the accessories. 1 star for the burned hand and the burning plastic smell. I ordered this in Nov but with holidays and what not I just pulled it out to play. Loved the look overall. The storage case makes it very easy to keep organized. I liked the slim lightweight feel of the flex shaft and thought it would be great until I tried it. First powering on instantly made the bit in the shaft rattle horribly loud but that I could live with and I carried on. Once I started using the flex shaft doing very light glass engraving after the outline of a six letter word 2″ wide I had to shut it down because it was so hot it left my hand red and slightly burned and it also had a slight burning plastic smell from the time I turned it on which I attributed to it being the new plastic and figured it’d get better, it didn’t. I want so badly to like this but at this point I can’t. It poses a safety hazard for sure. I loved the price and the handy storage case. The amount of accessories that come with it and the different types of bits are one of the best things about it. I don’t know if I got a faulty machine or if they are just made poorly but I am having a hard time returning it because I keep hoping it’ll go ahead and break in.

This rotary tool is perfect for small DIY projects! Powerful, with varying motor speeds. The extension pole allows me to get into small, weird angles without holding the base. Good value for the money.

This product is a great set to have! I saw only 1 review but the set looked like a good combination, …so I took a chance and ordered. Yes, I was right! I tested on my wood piece and it worked perfectly. Shipping was also wonderful too, I ordered it the night before around 10 pm, and received it before 9 am the next day. Can’t wait to use them!! Pros: (1) Price. (2) Number of included bits, which are of good quality. (3) Flex shaft included. (4) Variable speed. (5) Multi-usable.Cons: (1) Size. Though fine for rough work (cutting a piece of metal, etc), much too big for any intricate work (carving, engraving). (2) Weight. It’s on the heavier side; again, good for rough work, not for time intensive intricate work. (3) Durability. Though size & weight can be mitigated by utilizing the flex shaft for detail work, it lasted about a month before it unravelled itself during use (see photo).Final word: If you’re looking for a rotary tool that’s economically-priced, intended for rough work, and only being lightly used for intricate work, then this is pretty dang good. But if you plan on using it for mostly detailed work, as I did, then look elsewhere; lack of flex shaft durability resulted in my return of the item for one of better quality.
