Good deal. Good product. “Patriots”????
Nice selection: i live in a HOT climate (zone 10a/9b), and only one pack not appropriate for my area.Happily growing lettuces already. Started ‘Big Jim’ (Hatch) peppers, ‘Giant gray stripe’ sunflowers, ‘Black beauty’ eggplant, and ‘Chicago pickling ‘ cucumbers. Good germination rate. Very pleased. Planted cantaloupe, not up yet.I do have a concern about the company. I hope my purchase isn’t supporting some extreme right-wing militia.I sit defiantly in the middle. I love USA: i treasure the freedoms i enjoy, and i respect those who fight for that, even if I’m better at farming than fighting. I also love the values USA used to stand for: FREEDOM, EQUALITY, JUSTICE.I worry that believing in equality and justice makes me “not patriotic enough” for the seller.

A Review of Black Duck Brand’s Assorted Vegetable & Herb Seed Packets
Calling all green thumbs and aspiring gardeners! If you’re itching to get your hands dirty and witness the magic of sprouting life, Black Duck Brand’s Assorted Vegetable & Herb Seed Packets might just be your ticket to garden paradise. I took the plunge with this massive seed collection, boasting 43 varieties and over 10,000 seeds, and here’s my experience:The Good:Variety is the Spice of Life (Garden): This set is bursting with an insane selection of vegetables and herbs. From classic tomatoes and peppers to adventurous kale and dill, there’s something for every taste and culinary whim. You’ll have enough variety to keep your taste buds and harvest basket happy all season long.Non-GMO Goodness: Grow your own food with peace of mind. These seeds are all heirloom and 100% non-GMO, meaning you can enjoy wholesome, chemical-free produce straight from your backyard.Germination Grand Slam: The seeds boast a high germination rate within 7-14 days, ensuring you’ll see those tiny green sprouts popping up sooner rather than later. Watching life unfold before your eyes is truly rewarding!Mylar Packaging: The included Freedom Farms Vegetable Set Mylar Bag is a fantastic bonus. It keeps your precious seeds safely stored away from moisture and light, ensuring their viability for years to come. The Not-So-Good:Seed Lottery: While the estimated seed count is helpful, it’s not an exact science. Some packets might be a bit more generous than others, so don’t be surprised if your tomato bounty varies from the numbers listed.Planning Puzzle: With such a vast selection, planning your garden layout can feel a bit overwhelming. Research planting times and spacing requirements for each variety to avoid overcrowded chaos and maximize your harvest.Mystery Seeds: The descriptions provided are basic, focusing on variety names and not much else. If you’re a gardening newbie, some of the less common herbs and vegetables might leave you scratching your head, requiring additional research.Overall:Black Duck Brand’s Assorted Vegetable & Herb Seed Packets are a delightful bargain for experienced and novice gardeners alike. The sheer variety, high germination rate, and non-GMO commitment make it a fantastic entry point into the world of homegrown goodness. Just be prepared for a bit of seed count guesswork and some light research for the more obscure herb offerings.Recommendation:If you’re looking for an affordable and diverse seed collection to kickstart your garden, this Black Duck Brand variety pack is a fantastic choice. Just remember, a little planning and research go a long way in ensuring a bountiful harvest!Happy planting!

Packets missing
Order them end of summer for next year. Went and pulled them out to start growing a few veg inside. I never looked at them when I first received them. Well I will say they gave me a lot of cucumber, tomatoes, and corn packets. Would be nice if I had enough land for the corn. Was missing a few veg packets. Ones I notice that was missing was carrots turnips and water melon. Was looking forward for them. There might be another one or two I didn’t get. I couldn’t return it because I just seen you have thirty days to return this. Other wise they do give you a lot of packets for your money. The seeds look fine and there is a good amount of seeds in each packet. Also there is still a-lot of deferent veg. They give you besides the fact and delivery was quick. Even with the packets missing it is still worth the buy

New gardener here, and these are perfect!
Very happy with the results using these seeds on my first attempt at a garden. I had a surprisingly high yield. Plenty to share. Great taste and size. I used for 2 years and the year old ones produced the same as new seeds because they are packed in mylar. Store properly and you don’t need to worry. My favorite are the pickling cucumbers. Got me into the world of pickling and canning.

Good
They are growing so fast and strong!! There was a few things different from the pictures. I really wanted asparagus and it wasn’t included but everything is growing really good!

Look Great, but not what is advertised
There were 40 packages of seeds, but they replaced green and red peppers (so none) with sunflowers, only one carrot, and not all the types pictured, 3 kinds of radishes, lavender extra turnips etc. My disappointment just upon receiving is that my favorites seems to have been substituted for undesirable and some none herbs or vegetables.

So far, so goo
2024-08-30 – I bought these seeds about 20 days ago, got them in, and planted Basil and Cilantro. The Basil went into my hydroponics system about 10 days before the Cilantro went into peat pellets. The basil went absolutely crazy, and the cilantro has now sprouted. The basil had 100% germination and the cilantro had about 70%, which isn’t bad since I think I kept the peat too moist.Right now I’ve got parsley in the hydroponic system, and I’m waiting for it to come up.In a bit over a week, I’ll break in my newest hydroponic system with the different lettuce and the spinach.I’ll update this review if I find something wrong with the seeds over the next few months, but if the first few packets are any indication, I’m going to be very happy with this company.2024-08-31 – My first lavender has sprung, along with my first rosemary. Additionally, several of the parsley are coming up after only 14 days, even though I did not pretreat the seeds. I wonder if the hydroponics played a part in that? Regardless, I consider this company to be reputable and well worth a second order when I’m looking for more seeds.
