Trust the reviews
Trust the reviews on this product. I recently had to replace my old powered screwdriver and this fits the bill perfectly. It seems to be the perfect weight and form factor. Very good bill quality and super easy to use. The battery life is phenomenal and the speed control is beyond anything I’ve ever seen on a tool like this.I probably used this on 50 projects since I bought it, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised each and every time I’ve used it. The reviews that talk about how great the screwdriver is are absolutely true. Works with all my bits that I already had and of course the kid that it comes with is of high quality.Trust the reviews that you read here. They are absolutely right and true.

Very handy!
Industrial electrician here. I have been using it for almost two months and it works great. Battery last me all day and i used pretty often ( some times it goes through use and abuse). Decently powerful, not thread stripping torque but its good. I like the live circuit feature tester even though i will definitely not use it in live panels or nothing hot, can still be used to check receptacles or test wires. Still very awesome to remove and put screws on and off.

Twist controls set this apart from the rest
On paper, you can probably find electric screwdrivers that offer better torque, battery life, or selection of included bits for the price, but none of that matters if the ergonomics don’t make any sense. Most models out there are just a giant bar or rod with a spinny bit at the end, but the Skil Twist 4V feels like a conventional screwdriver that happens to come with an electric function. This is also the only model commonly available that I know of that comes with its unique twist collar control. This makes it very easy to switch between manual and electric operation seamlessly without having to reorient the tool and fumble around for a button each time you want to use the power function. This feature alone is more valuable than any torque or rotational speed specification being advertised.I have owned this screwdriver for about 9 months now and have used it primarily for PC case building, furniture assembly, car interiors, and the occasional electrical fixture around the house. For these purposes, it excels. For anything more powerful like driving wood screws or mechanical work, you really ought to be using a 12V or higher power drill. A big part of this screwdriver’s appeal is its compact size which enables it to be used in many of the same situations where you would normally expect use a conventional screwdriver. The amount of torque it has is appropriate for its size, and if it had any more, it would probably be at risk of jumping out of your hand far too often anyway. If I have to take points off, it is because this screwdriver still uses micro USB for charging despite USB-C being commonplace for nearly a decade at this point. And as with any modern product, I have concerns about its longevity compared to anything made in decades past. During heavier tasks (such as driving self-tapping screws), it can sometimes take the screwdriver a quarter-turn or more before it finally locks. Backfeeding the reduction gearset inside of it any more than it absolutely has to can’t be good for it. This has me a little worried, but it could also be completely normal and not a cause for concern. As for battery life, I think I have only charged this once in the entire 9 months I’ve had it (and that was just because the manual said I should do so before its first use). I’m sure the battery will run out any day now, but I have no idea if that will be tomorrow or several months from now. I only use this screwdriver once every 2-3 weeks on average, so your expectations may vary greatly.

Great, compact yet powerful must-have tool
This cordless screwdriver charges quickly, and provides enough power for most jobs. This is not as powerful as a typical drill, but you will not miss the drill when it comes to almost all screw-driving jobs. Maybe in rare case with wood screws you might need to use a regular screwdriver for last couple of turns that require extra force. Advantage of less weight and smaller size that this product offers evens that out.Light and magnetic tip are quite useful as well, and unlike few other reviewers I am comfortable with arrangement to start forward or reverse movement. A compact box is another useful feature of this product.Only annoyance: Only way to turn on the light is by starting forward or reverse movement. With better mechanism this tool would be handy as a small light, without wasting the battery charge.Overall, I am starting to wonder how I lived without such a battery powered screwdriver for so long.

Bought it base on the good reviews compared to some other brands since its the most basic tools you ought to have at home. Haven’t really had the chance to make full use of it. But so far it feels solid and the bits are of good quality.

I have been using this on my job for nearly 12 months and I haven’t gone a day where I haven’t used it. It’s amazing. The screwdriver bits it comes with are of good quality too. I’ve used the same Phillips head for the entire time I’ve had it. If I could make two wishes, it would be for a longer battery life or removable rechargeable batteries to swap out and a USB C type charging port instated off the micro port it comes with. I get close to a day out of it on quieter days, but definitely a stretch on busy days. Overall an amazing product and I have been recommending it to everyone. The guys at work borrow it and love it, wanting one soon after. The volt detection on mine has never worked, but I carry a volt stick with me and I didn’t buy this for volt detection, so I’m not bothered by it.
