Shedding some light on things or not.
I fortunately I am now the proud owner of a brand new bunch of lights. Had to return these due to malfunction. After the first rain storm many of the lights blew out. Hence the rating of weatherproofing and sturdiness. They did however looked great when I first put them up. They offered a lot of light. I did end up spending a little more money on what I think will be a better brand and this time I went with LED lights. They’re an Amazon brand and they are white and they are simply magnificent. So glad I changed over to the white, as it is less recognizable on the sides of my house. As for the remote control, I didn’t ever expect to get a remote control with this light set. But I did read how misleading it is. You have to purchase the remote control separately. Luckily enough I had already purchased one and that works great too. I can save money by turning the lights on and off when I want.

Beautiful accessory to our balcony
The cord and sockets are sturdy. The bulbs screwed in easily and appeared tight to waterproof. There was even an extra bulb! Nice! We hung the strand around the top of the balcony, plugged them in and enjoyed them immediately. It has been several weeks. We’ve had rain and they seem to be staying waterproofed.I would recommend these lights highly.

Perfectly balanced lighting that gives off a nice ambiance. Only had them for a couple months and used them about a dozen times but they look well built. We’ve had many compliments on them.

Don’t work out of the box- updated!
Update: after leaving a one star review because the lights didn’t work at all, the company immediately reached out and not only replaced the lights will gave me a refund! I have to say the customer service was unexpected, and really great! Will definitely give them another chance. Finally got these string up only to find out there’s something wrong with it and lights don’t work. Very disappointed-have to undo all the work I did with zip ties.

Great lights
These lights are really great. They illuminate the area they need to light up and are warm. Not temp wise but just… Soft n warm so nice. We bought two, strung them together outside under our awning for our hot tub. Absolutely gorgeous.They have survived two bad wind storms, multiple thunderstorms… Very durable cable and bulb connectors. I was worried the bulbs wouldn’t last a storm, but proper placement has yeilded great results.
