Nice Dumbbell Set for a Great Price
I replaced my CAP cast iron set with these and am very pleased. They look nice. More comfortable than my cast irons (which were hard, had less ergonomic grips, and got a little slippy), plus this set included 25 lb weights. Also, I purchased them on sale for $160.Arrived fast and in 4 boxes. My 25 lb weights were initially missing but then were delivered the next day. They did need wiped off and were a bit oily/dirty as others mentioned. Had some minor imperfections but overall were in great shape. Rack was easy to set up. Easier to use a socket wrench if you have one. Highly recommend.

Great Set, Great Value
As others have mentioned, these are shipped in three boxes of weights at 50# each, and one narrow box that holds the stand. In my case, while extremely heavy duty boxes were used, and well taped, one of the boxes was sliced open and minor damage to rubber ends of DBs in that box occurred. Looks like it was slid over something which cut it through.In any event, 2×5, 2×10, 2×15, 2×20, 2×25# DBs are included, making this an excellent “base” set. Handles are knurled and as expected in diameter and abrasiveness. No gloves required, but your mileage may vary.Is there a smell? seems to be the burning question. Of course they have a smell. They were just born of chemicals. They smell like what they are: rubber. So if you have ever had a new bike tire in your house, that is the smell, multiplied by a few pairs. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest, and I was able to start using right away. I cannot relate at all to folks who seemed like they were going to swoon after opening the boxes.NOTE: I “washed” these with dish soap and water before using because they are covered in manufacturing residual dust etc. and will make your hands filthy otherwise. Mine did *not* have any kind of oily residues, as others have mentioned; again, just new tire smell, which for me is not obnoxious. But hey- some people think cilantro tastes terrible, so there is no accounting for taste.NOTE #2: Unlike the way Amazon’s own brand and some other DBs I have purchased are wrapped, these were just loose in the box. No Styrofoam, no placement in a baggie, nada. Just in the box. So they are not going to be 100% brand new and flawless looking when you take them out. Get over it. They’re dumbbells. They’ll look like that in a couple months of workouts anyway. Also, because there is no protection, be judicious in opening the boxes. Just slice around the tape so you are not gouging a chunk out of your new best friends.I got these for basically a buck a pound, which is what weights were before Covid, and what they should be anyway, and held off on buying them until I hit the sale amount. Having said that, they would still be worth it for the $200 amount too, of course, just slightly less of a bargain.As has been mentioned by other reviewers, the A-frame is easy to put together, but will take your fingers off if you are not watching what you are doing when replacing the weights onto the rack, something which was also true at many gyms I have used and is a bug and not a feature of this style of rack.Definitely recommend, and would purchase again. Plan on augmenting with additional weights and eventually using a horizontal rack for all of them, but this was a steal– and delivered on top of it.I am keeping the boxes. These are some of the heaviest duty boxes I have had sent to me. You should keep them until your return date is over anyway, in the event something untoward happens and they need to go back.

Great FOR THE PRICE
These are GREAT FOR THE PRICE. These things cost cheap but are made pretty well. Yeah they stink for a little while, come with oil on the rubber and handles, some with a little rubber that got sprayed on the handles but they cost so little! Just clean them up with some Simple Green and the oil comes right off. Hit the handles with some Simple Green and the scouring side of a dish sponge and the rubber comes right off the handles. There are imperfections on the rubber but you really need to study the dumbbells to notice. They are solid and feel great when working out. There is no play or slop in the handle to weight connection. The grips feel fine, if there are any burrs just scour them, its simple! Mine had no burrs like people said. The stand is cheap but it also cost cheap. It does the job and is safe for the weights it holds. I am pretty picky on what goes in my garage whether it be tools, camping gear or weights. These meet my expectations ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! They do not look bad, they perform well and are not embarrassing to display. Just go ahead and buy these!

Excellent quality set of dumbbells and holding rack at a great price. Weights come in 5 pound increments from 5,10,15,20 and 25 pounds. Very nice. No complaints. Another great quality Amazon purchase at a great price.

Nice set of dumbbells
But a couple things to be aware of….1. They have a very strong chemical smell. The whole room smells like strong rubber smell, hopefully this fades in time.2. There is some sort of black residue rubbing off from the dumbbells. I learned this the hard way and ruined my shirt. Make sure you wipe them off with soap water and a cloth before use, or it will get all over your hands and clothes.3. The rubber is shedding off little bits, I assume this is just because they are brand new?4. My only other complaint is the rack seems to be too tight for the dumbbells, and when taking them on and off the rack they hit each other. The rubber protectors on each rack also come off really easily – I will likely try to glue these on so they aren’t constantly falling off when I go to pick up a dumbbell.Overall, the weights seem good quality and feel comfortable to grip. I love the color, style and they look really nice in my home gym. For the price I think this is a great set and am happy with my purchase.

Great Dumbbell Set!
Ordered the 150 lb. dumbbell set with tinted handles. It’s great! Arrived early, easy setup, and although people have complained about a smell, I do not notice one. I did notice an odor from the stand, but the dumbbells just smell like dumbbells. No oily substance either. I did go ahead and wash everything with Dawn and water beforehand. Used white towels to wash and dry them, and there was no dirt or oil on the towels. Very pleased with the purchase and price I got them for.

Definitely smelly and dusty when delivered. Washed with dish soap and smell mostly went away. Rubber coated will always have a bit of a smell. Otherwise good quality and exactly as described. Fast delivery. Would recommend 100%.

Arrived a week earlier than estimated. Very happy with the set, and the price was very good. The stand was easy to assemble and after quick clean of each weight, they were ready to use. Have used them several times since receiving them and am very happy.
