These Cobras have been around a long time. The swr function helps dial in the antenna. Seems to be built well and a good value.

I hear this is a good radio. Yet to use it but am very pleased with Amazon and the seller.
To be honest, I am leaving this cb radio new in the box as it requires much more know how and expense to properly set up and test an antenna.I thought if I buy Radio, Antenna & power supply that all would be good. Which is the case for many, including myself 30 years ago. Eventually I will acquire the testing equipment needed to maintain a proper cb setup. Thanks a bunch to Amazon. Price was too good to pass up even if I never use the thing. At that moment I wanted it and it was at my door in about 15 hours. These do go on special promotion at times. 10% in rewards for using Prime Credit Card. Couldn’t be happier with the deal. Thanks again Amazon! Keep up the excellent service.

Built in swr meter is junk.
Good radio but not as good as the old ones. Swr meter is not reliable. It showed me a low read on all channels but once I would get past channel 20 my warning light came on. First I thought faulty light but then I hooked up external meter and discovered high swr. I run a k35 antenna and found that I could not adjust it enough . so I started trimming the whip had to take almost a full inch off now it walks and talk’s. So don’t trust the built in meter.

Very nice unit.
Very well designed and made radio. Not overly complicated. Like the built in SWR meter but very little information on how to tune the antennae. Quite a bit larger than I pictured it so I set it up as a indoor base station. Did not realize how few users actually exist these days. Seldom hear any one. It was a good deal though, only bought it for emegencies.
