Great branch cutter
The Dewalt 20V branch cutter is a great tool to have. I trimmed my fruit trees and roses in no time compared to when I was using a looper and hand trimmers. It is surprising the diameter of branch this will cut in one motion. The one down side might be the weight, but I think that is to be expected. I think the balance corrects the weight issue. I really liked the way his cut everything with speed and ease. I should have bought this years ago.

Saved my hands from manual pruning…
I have Dupuytren contracture in both hands (worse in my right). Using a manual pruner and loppers on my five mature fruit trees (2 cherry, 2 pear, 1 peach to give idea of branch diameters) became too painful. The DeWalt power pruner is a great solution because of its speed and ease of use. Of note, the first time I used it for a considerable length of time, the pruner stopped working in the middle of a cut. I realized it was because the battery power was too low. I bought two DeWalt 20V 2AH batteries to maintain power and to keep the pruner as lightweight as possible. One of the best power tools I have bought. Having a professional pruner work on my five fruit trees was going to cost $1100 (NO THANKS “Tree Works”). This tool and 2 batteries more than paid for itself in one season, and pruning is still possible for me. Blade can be resharpened too.

Great tool!
I bought this for my wife because she loves gardening but she has arthritis in her hands and pruning has been getting difficult for her. The pruner arrived about 2 weeks ago. I have filled up our green bin twice using it. For small branches, it might be a little faster to use manual pruners but for anything bigger than 1/4″ or so the DeWalt pruners make pruning really fast and easy. We will probably never use our big loppers again. It’s great to be able to reach with one hand and easily cut branches that with loppers would have required two hands and a bit of muscle to cut. I filled our large green bin, really filled and packed down, using a 2AH battery and still didn’t drain the battery all the way down.

Although I haven’t used as yet from the feel of the product has a good weight to it and appears to be a solid construction. Looks wise it is the business. I have some other similar product but doesn’t have the same weight, rigidity to it. So, I believe the DWALT will be a strong performer.

I have acres of Broom ( an invasive species in the Pacific Northwest). I was a little undecided about a purchase of this loper when I first saw this item on Amazon. But, after wearing out my shoulders using large two-handled lopers on the Broom, I decided to try the De Walt hand loper.It arrived in typical Amazon hypersonic time. The battery and charger have to be purchased separately – remember that.The blade is sharp, the unit is not very heavy for one-handed use and has a unique safety trigger is built into the handle. It only took an hour to charge, and I went to the Broom field. The blades are removable with a supplied integral Allen key for replacement.I could cut 1.5″ Broom stalks with ease and with two or three cuts, 2″ thick ones. The blade is quick and cuts the Broom everything- Broom, Blackberry, thistle, misc bushes- with almost no effort. The gearing isincredible. I spent at least 1.5 hours cutting and still had the power to cut, which amazed me.It is easy to handle, designed and built to keep fingers away from the blades, not unduly heavy and performs as described. A great addition for any gardener or landscaper!

It performs either exactly as expected, or it will exceed your expectations. There’s no way this is letting you down. It is very strong and will cut a small tree in half if it fits within the blades.The blades are perfectly paced for control, and this seems to be one of dewalt’s longest lived power tools–2ah will get you over 1000 cuts
