Its dewalt – like everything dewalt you can count on quality, dependability
Many of the oscillating multitools require a chuck to change blades. Less reliable more expensive alternatives don’t include the battery, or charger, or bag! I really wanted to stay with current brand tools (traditionally cheaper) but this was a much better tool for less. This dewalt tool has a quick release lever to release the blade. Additionally, this design holds the blade tightly and won’t strip the pins that secure the blade which has happened in previous corded and battery brands I have used. It’s ready to go (charge it) out of the box-portable and versatile where you need it without the extension cord. I have used it to trim aluminum, cut outs for electrical and other custom fit type cuts, detail sanding, easily cut through framing nails, remove exterior gooey caulk. Trim tile. With the right blades, you can do anything.

What a great bargain! Love this tool!
For this price, I honestly couldn’t pass up this oscillating tool. I have a corded rigid oscillation tool and it’s great, but the cord is such an inconvenience and the quite change head isn’t nearly as easy and fast as this Dewalt.The battery charges quickly and really lasts a very long time.This entire package is fantastic, I’m so happy to have seen this on Amazon. Even the carrying case is wonderfully designed and super convenient for storing the tool and many extra blades.The three speed adjustment is such a great idea and what makes this even better, is that each individual speed is wholly variable based upon depth of trigger pull.I honestly can’t imagine a more user-friendly and ultra dependable tool as this one and like I mentioned above, the price is unbeatable. Much cheaper than the same tool at the blue big box store.Great price, great tool, couldn’t ask for more!

Excellent Tool
I own a corded version of this tool, but the Dewalt battery powered one is so much more convenient, especially when working away from power. Comes with a battery charger and a 1.5 AH battery (NO LEDs indicating the level of charge) which is good for most jobs. The mechanism for loading blades is done with a lever which does not require any tools. It is variable speed but takes a little getting used to the trigger to control the setting you want. It has a light that comes on when you engage the trigger, super convenient, especially for those under lit places when using the tool. Great tool and is well built.

DeWalt by Stanley – still an American brand
I’ve been using DeWalt cordless tools for almost 20 years and they stand up to the rigors of any and all jobs and peojects I’ve used them on. I purchased this tool for a renovation and it is honestly one of the most versatile in my collection and replaces several other tools, simplifies methods and saves time on an array of tasks. I love the feel and performance of this tool and it cuts through just about anything with speed and accuracy using the right blade (sometimes even with the wrong blade – oops!). It’s a workhorse – as are all of my DeWalt cordless tools.

I was replacing a toilet seat that had metal screws instead of plastic bolts that were bad rusty and could not get them off and we used this oscillating tool and it cut them right off no problem. Very impressed.!! The battery wore down for just cutting two bolts was the only negative thing.

So many uses for this every homeowner should have one! Being cordless makes it even more convenient. Dewalt quality, you wont regret this purchase. From cutting trim to install flooring to zipping thru a piece of exhaust pipe on my sons dirt bike to install an aftermarket pipe, this thing comes in handy. Highly recommended

I’ve been doing renos over the last 2 years and am now wondering WHY I didn’t get one of these sooner?! What a handy little tool for doing a lot of different things. Why oh why did I wait so long…. Only warning I’ll give is DON’T cheap out when buying blades. The tool is fantastic BUT only as good as the blade you put in it.
