Quirky control button and battery/ SEE MY REVIEW UPDATE!
I got these clippers about 2 years ago. Right off the bat I noticed that the on off switch was quirky sometimes needing several tries to turn off or on. Also the readout would only come on momentarily when plugging in the charger. I decided to keep, however because those issues not withstanding, it was a good tool. The first year passed and I would use 3 or 4 times to shave my shaggy dog till she overgrew again. I would routinely charge prior to the one hour job. This year I noticed the charge would only last a half hour, requiring me to recharge to finish her. The last time I used it, it lasted about 10 minutes. It took me 7 days to get her finished. I’ve been watching the charge over the last few months and it doesn’t stay charged, dying at about the 5 minute mark. Once I charged; switched on and this time the charge readout appeared and stay on while running. You could watch the % drop every few seconds and it got to zero just in a few minutes. I’m gonna try to contact the seller and see if they’re maybe good guys and can provide a new better replacement battery. If they do I will revise this review. If not I do not recommend Holdog. It’s a rechargeable battery and was not abused nor used too much. I’m also wondering if this was a return or refurb that they slipped in. **** I heard back within a few hours. They apologized and asked if they could replace. I agreed. They did say it might take a little bit, but I an impressed with their customer service. I will update when I receive the replacement. This make me very happy as this, minus the few problems is the best clippers I’ve ever owned and it’s quiet and doesn’t scare my dog. Kudo to Holdog Sevice Team. Top stars for immediate response. UPDATE. True to their word. I received a brand new one and it works perfectly. This is the kind of company I highly recommend. They were responsive and fulfill their promise. They get a 5 star PLUS review. These are the BEST clippers I’ve ever owned. I give their customer service 5 stars + as well. I am totally amazed at how quick and painlessly they responded. I can’t give anymore kudos all around because this is a great company, product and seller staff. My best wishes to all evolved. Excellent versatile clippers!
I purchased this clipper set late October 2023. My cockapoo was a puppy then. I own Andis clippers I used for my large standard poodle but wanted something smaller/quieter for this new little girl. Her coat has developed more like a poodle so trimming curly is a little different. Some tangles & small matts. I keep her hair short. This trimmer works great! For over a year now I’ve used them about every 6 weeks for full trims & in between for face and feet. Poodle hair grows fast & hers does. I live in Colorado mountains with a large yard. She gets all types of weather & gets wet & dirty. Pine sap sometimes in paws. Loves to run & play. This trimmer has been really great. Easy to use holds charge well. I really appreciate how it doesn’t over heat & being cordless. It’s durable & combs work very well. Very lite. I’ve had no issues.Sadly now the blade is getting dull & I have to replace the whole device. Price is still great even at $7 more It’s been so handy I don’t know if I want to switch to my Andis clippers [used them 16 years] with the long cord. Andis are excellent too & easy to replace blade. I may spring for high cost of cordless.😀I’m contacting seller to purchase just the device as I don’t need whole kit.

We love these dog trimmers so much, we ordered a second set to make haircuts that much faster. They are so reasonably priced and work BETTER than the expensive brands!They are cordless and have multiple settings, so they are so convenient to use, especially if you have multiple dogs with different hair length.

Bathe your dog first. Keeps clippers sharp! Clippers worked well. Trimmed my papillon chihuahua well. Still at 86% power when done.Scissors included were bent, don’t cut! Glad I had good grooming ones. Noise level is typical but better than my Wahl motor driven ones. I have 2 small dogs so hopefully the Clippers continue to function. Value is good, plastic combs are ok once you lower the blades and push tightly on. Off/on button is small.

No scraping of delicate skin.

I love being able to change blade length and speed by pressing the digital button that lights up a display right on the shaver, so no trick blade changing etc. necessary! I bought this clipper set in March of 2023 to groom an Australian Shepherd. I have a large rotary clippers that I bought many years ago, but I wanted cordless ones to make grooming easier. I got these as opposed to more expensive clippers because of the reviews. They don’t disappoint! I found them fast to charge, long lasting, and lightweight. Love the display and speed settings. Fit nicely in the hand and easy to manoeuvre. Nicely packaged. Most impressive, they cut better than pro wahl clippers I have. They go through my dogs’ hair like butter – even the one who has a double, fuzzy coat. I cut my grooming time by 3/4 by purchasing these! I will recommend to everyone! Super value for the price.
