I dont always do reviews…..but when I do.
I dont always do reviews, but when I do, either the product is either garbage, or adsolutleu stellar. This one is absolutley stellar! I only used it once so I can’t speak to longevity, but the quality seems substantial. I can speak to the power and effectiveness. It has both. This will make my tree trimming and small wood project a breeze!

Works Well, Excellent Value
I decided I would give this saw a try because it was $200 less than a Milwaukee and it was 18V as opposed to 12v. This is a neat little saw. It comes with 6” and 8” beams. I used the 6” beam with a genuine Milwaukee M18 5.0Ah battery. It cut quickly and cleanly. I put quite a bit of force into some of my cuts and, for the most part, the saw performed well. I only stalled the motor twice, and that was when I let off the trigger and tried to re-start mid-cut. I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because of the tensioner. I re-tightened the chain 4 times while making the first 10 cuts. I don’t know if this is due to break-in stretch or wear of the chain, or inability of the tensioner to hold tension. I have not used a genuine Milwaukee for comparison, but this doesn’t seem right. Still, for $70, it is a joy to use and I will put up with the tensioner. The cardboard box has a nice organizer foam insert. A real soft case or hard case would have been the perfect finishing touch.

Absolutely would recommend
Purchased this for my wife, who absolutely loves it. Our main decision on this particular tool was to utilize our existing batteries. Great buy, works well and batteries last.

A must have Great Value
I own plenty of Milwaukee tools and batteries, and this chainsaw is a fantastic value less than half the price of a Milwaukee saw but still performs great for the price. It’s lightweight, easy to use with one hand, and cuts really well. It even comes with two chains and blades (one 6-inch and one 8-inch).I noticed some complaints about it not coming with a battery, but that’s pretty standard for tool users. To clarify, “M18” means it uses Milwaukee’s M18 batteries. Batteries are expensive but designed to last a long time, and one battery can power all your M18 tools, making the tools themselves cheaper since you’re not buying a battery each time. So, for those of us who already have batteries, this $60 chainsaw is a steal. For reference, red tools take Milwaukee batteries, yellow tools take DeWalt batteries, and blue tools take Makita batteries.I used a 6.0 Ah battery, which lasted about 30 minutes, then switched to a 12.0 Ah, which lasted all day and still had 3 bars of power left. My only complaint is that it uses a lot of oil and needed frequent refills, though it came with a decent sized bottle that lasted a week of daily use for clearing trees and cutting firewood.

Awesome tool
I paired this with my Milwaukee M18 Fuel battery and it’s a beast. I’ve trimmed about 50 branches and cut up probably 20ft of firewood off a 8” diameter tree as well as a few larger pieces and my battery is only down a quarter. It’s surprisingly powerful, light, and easy to use. A fantastic deal for the price

Works well but messy oil
Works really well for the purpose I bought it for. However, the auto oiler feature makes for a mess as it doesn’t seem to stop coming out. Oil spattlers everywhere including my pants. If I had to use this for more than a few cuts at a time, I’d likely return it. But for making a cut now and then, it’s just right for the price. Nice that it works with Milwaukee battery.

I used this for camping this past summer worked great, altho goes through the chain oil they provide. eats right through it because how thin it is.BUT once you start using real chain oil ! works amazing ! I use this now on the Job as a groundsman for an Arborist company and instead of a pull pruner this is MUCH SMOOTHER and CLEANER of a cut.Highly recommend this for home, camping or work.side note of course Not using this on big cuts or chopping up firewood, although have taken and chopped up small dead wood/trees, but mostly use this to Trim small trees.

I’ve used the 8″ chain and bar for about a total of 6 hours. It’s nice and strong. The tension is fairly easy to adjust; however, I’ve already reached the adjustment limit! Maybe one less link would have been better. I’m also getting close to the adjustment limit on the 6″ chain and bar.I can cut small branches (Cutting back overgrown brush, Sumac, … ) varying in size up to 3″ O.D. for about an hour using a 5.0 battery. The battery gets warm but I haven’t had a hot one yet even on 30 deg. days. I haven’t tried it out on a good-sized (4″-6″ O.D.) hardwood branch yet.

Got this chainsaw yesterday, I put it to work today and I am beyond impressed. I live on an acreage in the forest and have lots of dreadfall tress, I also have a very powerful gas chainsaw with a 20 inch bar. This little chainsaw was amazing cut through 6 inch Alder like a hot knife through butter. Loved that my Milwaukee batteries fit this as I have lots of those. Nice light chainsaw easy one hand operation, my wife Loves it as she ihe will not use the big gas chainsaw. My 1 little criticism is that the bar oil tank is small, goes through the oil fairly quick, I ended up blending my heavier weight bar oil with the oil they supplied and now the oil lasts much longer with way less fling off.Highly recommend this cordless chainsaw!!

As I get older, I get lazier and lazier hunting for firewood. This thing hit the spot. It comes with a 6″ and 8″ bar and chain. I already had Milwaukee batteries I use for work. It cuts quite a bit on a single battery. Only thing that surprised me and maybe this is just at the beginning of use, it ate through the oil I added to the reservoir. If you’re going backcountry with it, make sure you bring the little bottle of oil that it comes with as I was through the oil before my first battery ran out. What I really like about the chainsaw is that it’s very easy to take the bar and chain off to pack more compactly away as opposed to the original Milwaukee saw that has a smaller bar and requires tools to properly put together. Overall a really great little backcountry addition to get some quality firewood fast.
