Simple and effective, fully self sufficient
A few years ago I made the mistake of buying half a dozen ‘smart’ pet feeders for my cats. A month after investing close to a thousand dollars, that other company went belly up. Those feeders *required* internet connection not just for programming, but to work at all. With company cloud servers gone – the most valuable part of that purchase was the boxes my cats played in.So this time – I wanted something that could work entirely off grid. I converted a bed room in my home to a cat room, subdivided into suites for each of my cats (currently 11 indoor!) with private bed, scratcher, toys and feeder – with access controlled by microchip.My PitPet feeders are a crucial part of that set up. I can control each cats diet. With up to six separate portion controlled meals, I minimize prevent scarf and barf. With each feeder calling its cat by name at meal time it creates a fun symphony of sounds at meal town as cats are called, come running, food drops, and doors click open. Bigger cats get bigger portions, everybody gets the best food for their personal health conditions and I can even leave home for a few days without having to worry.Setup is simple on these devices. In almost 18 months of use I’ve had zero issue with reliability. The only heads up: if you have a particularly ambitious feline, the security strap may not be sufficient. One of my boys was able to flip the feeder and pull off the velcro for a feast. I’ve constructed a barrier wedging feeder in place to prevent that, and all of the other cats have been fine with it free standing as shipped. The internal clock is reliable. While it certainly is not able to sync with atomic clock it perfectly does its job. A ‘drift’ of maybe a minute over the course of several full months really is negligible. Between power adapter and AA battery backup, power outages aren’t a concern, and the removable steel bowl and food reservoir make for easy cleaning.All said and done – this is a very solid product at an incredible price. Thrilled I found it, as are my cats. If you want bells and whistles and dependance on someone else paying their bills – get an expensive soon to be brick. If you want reliability and consistency, this is it.Doing some improvements with my cat suites, but since my youngest kittens are demanding SnapCat and OnlyPaws fame – I’ll be uploading video and photos of this setup (and them) soon @kenskreweYou’ll get a kick out of how they come running when PitPet calls!

Good Product
Works perfectly and was the perfect solution for mid-day feedings while I’m away at work. Our boy was losing weight without a mid-day feeding, and due to belly problems, can’t have big morning and evening meals. It’s stable and can’t be easily tipped over. It has a removable stainless bowl for easy cleaning. Instructions are a little hard to follow for setting time of day, feeding times and portion size, but once you figure it out, it’s easy enough.

Very easy to use and portion out food for animals. Takes a bit of tweaking to get the right amounts of food dispensed but once you have that dialed in it works outstandingly.

Easy to set up
Feeding times are easy to set up, and bowl easily lifts out at an angle for cleaning. The back up battery option is great. It’s nice to know our cat will still be fed in the event of a power outage. Even full of food, the feeder isn’t too heavy. The rectangular design makes it easy to handle and fits securely against the wall. The cat was unsure about it at first, but once he realized this scary machine was dumping food every three hours, he has grown to love it and now sits next to it as if it’s his best friend. If your cat is as sneaky as mine, I definitely suggest using the black safety strap. It keeps the lid securely closed. The only thing I wish for in this product is a color other than white. But overall, it’s a fantastic product and definitely worth the money.

Exactly as advertised
I’ve had this item for a little over 2 weeks. I purchased this to replace a different brand of automatic feeder that had become unreliable after 10 month. So far this feeder is working very well. It comes with easy to follow instructions for programing both the time and quantity to feed. It has not lost or gained time in the 2 weeks I have had it, which in my experience is novel. It is heavy enough that my cat doesn’t knock it over, but not too heavy for me to lift. The lid closes tightly and has room for a silica gel insert to keep the food fresh, It has a removable aluminum feeding dish that is easy to clean. The dish I find to be rather large. I do wish there was the ability to purchase a replacement dish to fit the feeder. It would make cleaning easier. I would recommend.

Not bad for the price
I use this along with a two cat feeder to feed my three cats. This feeder works well. I like that it has battery backup in case the power goes out while I’m not home. The schedule works well and is pretty easy to set up. The only thing I didn’t like is the portion selection is not as granular as I’d like. My ideal portion size is somewhere between a one and a two on this feeder, so I had to decide whether I wanted to under or over feed. It’s not too far off so I decided to go with a little more food, but I wish I had a little more control over it.

Works well and at a great price!
Pros: Great pricing! 1-4 easy to program feeding times of your choice. Check with vet or online for recommendations based on your cat’s age, weight, etc. The stainless steel bowl is easy to remove for washing. I would measure the amount of the particular food you use by measuring the amount dispensed twice while setting up. My cat is a rescue who has food insecurity and regular feeding times have been helping with that.Cons: for dry food only, pretty obvious. My cat took a few weeks to get accustomed to the new bowl and placement. I really haven’t got anything negative to say about this.

Unbeatable Pet Feeder
I have had two of these for the past 6 months and I have 0 complaints. I was drawn to these mainly for the controls being buttons and a screen rather than app controlled. The UI is incredibly easy to navigate and set up portions. I found out after I bought these that they have a backup battery option as well as voice recording. They hold a ton of food, I believe I have only filled them 3 times. If you’re overwhelmed by the many auto pet feeders available, just go with this one. It’s so simple and good.
