Great Pen for Laminates
This pen writes well on a laminated map. Well made, small but sturdy point. Allowed me to mark the route and stops of a hop-on-hop-off bus tour of Paris clearly. Recommend.

Works great
I used a permanent marker to label my flower bulbs, only to find within days it all washed away. This marker stays and is readable after a month. Well worth the money.

Garden marker that does not fade
I was in search of the “best” outdoor marker for nursery purposes that did not fade when used on nursery tags. After researching the options, it appeared that the Staedtler and Artline garden markers were considered the best in the business, so I decided to test them. At the time of purchase the Staedtlers cost $4.99 per marker, while the Artline were much cheaper at $1.42 per marker. In July, 2022, I placed two test plastic tags in a garden bed with the marker name as well as the blackest dot I could write next to the name. The tags were positioned facing directly south (towards the sun). One tag I placed vertically, while the second tag I placed at an angle to receive the most direct sunlight possible (in the attached photo, this is the tag on the right). I left the tags in place for 13 months, and you can see the results. The Artline markers faded dramatically, with the angled tag fading about 75% while the vertical tag faded about 50%. The Staedtler tags faded singnificantly less – with the vertical tag showing almost no fading, and the angled tag showing perhaps 10%.Bottom line: I would recommend the Staedtler as the better option if longevity in field conditions is of utmost concern.

Works long term on popsicle sticks
I wanted a system that didn’t depend on plastic labels for my plant labels, and I found one that works great. On popsicle sticks, the text is legible even if the stick is mostly grey from staying too wet. They’ve lasted throughout the winter in a cold frame – a time frame where sharpie-on-milk jugs were basically erased. The one in the picture has been out since spring and through a bright and hot summer. The marker stays usable for a long time, much longer than the other typical garden marker, which dispenses too much ink right away and dries out really fast from the wood soaking up the ink. In fact, I’m still on my first one after a busy spring labeling probably a few hundred sticks with no signs of slowing down. Thank you so much for making such a dependable product so I can prevent as much plastic waste as I can, and I hope this finds its way to other gardeners as well so they can do the same.

Great markers, wish a bright color
These markers are really terrific. Allows a finer line than do any other brands I have. But being black, they tend to become invisible in my work space! Put yellow duct tape in the middle of them this time, which will surely help.

Good for garden labels
Nothing lasts forever on plant labels left exposed to the elements, but this has done the best of any marker I’ve tried yet. Dries pretty quick and writes smoothly.

Garden pen
Time will tell. So far so good. I wrote on my garden tags and now will see if it is still able to read in spring. Sharpie ran and faded. Hoping this one works.

You now have a permanent record
Came on time and lives up to it’s ‘permanent’ name.

I used this to mark my golf balls. A regular sharpie would come off before the round was over. This marker the mark lasts on the ball for several rounds. Even if it’s wet out. Definitely recommend if you want marks to last a long time.

These are great – the ink stayed sharp on plant labels I had outdoors over the winter. It writes smoothly and dark. You have to store it horizontally as the pen dries out if you don’t. If you do, just place it horizontally and it will come back. It is a smidge thick for me in terms of the point but otherwise, a great pen for gardeners.

I liked the pens for labelling sticks marking the plants. Easy to read after multiple waterings.
