Very well made and reasonably priced.
I’m impressed with the design and overall quality of this helping hand with the magnifying glass/LED light. I use it to help with building a wood model of a boat that has extremely small, detailed components and requires much more dexterity and steadiness than I have.Assembly was very easy and took about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. It comes with a very nice Phillips head screw driver and a 12mm wrench for the assembly. The light and magnifying glass are extremely helpful. The rubber covering on the alligator clips is a nice feature which helps keep the item being held in place without excessive force and the clips hold even the smallest parts firmly (it even comes with 2 extra clips). My only complaint is that, for my application, the arms ‘rebound’ when you try to put them into position so it takes a little practice to get them exactly where you need them. If you were holding a solid object with all four clips it shouldn’t be an issue.I recommend this item and would buy it again.

Not exactly accurate but worth it.
Love the light and the looking glass. The arms are a little springy which can be frustrating when trying to get the perfect position, but they are workable. Very stable which makes up for a lot of it and the claws have a plastic overing that works well. Overall good product knocked down a star because of the springiness of the arms and i don’t want anyone to get to frustrated over that.

Solid station that I use everyday but there are several issues
First let me state that this is a really cool station that has articulating arms, a bright-ish LED, and decent magnification. I use it almost daily for my hobbies and projects and I don’t regret the purchase, just wish it was a little better.Enough about the good things, let’s talk about the areas where it could be better, as that is what makes a good review over the ones that say “it’s awesome, buy it”.1.) The LED doesn’t shut off when it’s turned off, it goes into low brightness mode, like a nightlight, say 20% brightness. I personally like this but note that this doesn’t actually shut off. At least my version from 2022 does this.2.) When in this low mode turned off but still on, it actually flickers completely off and back again to the 20%. This part is annoying and it does this every 15-45 seconds randomly. I have tried different USB power supplies, tried PD and QC and old-school apple ones and it does it no matter what.3.) I use 120W PD USB power with 2 ports and 1 is connected to this and the other is a 65W soldering iron. When I turn on the soldering iron the light goes off…Most of the time. After both have been on a while and I repeat the process to turn back on the soldering iron the light stays on. It seems to be super sensitive to any power fluxuations but clearly there is way more than enough power to supply the light but it likes to shut off and forces me to turn it back on.4.) The stand is solid and the arms are solid, but the arms are a bit too solid. They aren’t as flexible as needed so it becomes a chore to find the right angle. The arms to NOT rotate so if your part needs to be 90 degrees orientation you have to move the whole arm and fight with it to get it into that position. Most of the time it’s easier to use a different arm because you can’t get it to hold the piece in the correct position.5.) The magnifying part is only 3x. I wish it was more, maybe 5x so I have to wear magnifying readers and also the lens on here, but it was the only one with this form factor that I liked and so I have to live with 3x.6.) The light could be brighter but it’s solid. You can never have too much light so over bright LEDs would have been nice so I could turn it down when not needed but as of right now it’s full bright and wishing I had more light at time. I have to keep a flashlight near for those times when I need more.Overall you can see I didn’t rate it bad because it’s not bad, but it’s not without its flaws. If it was $10 cheaper I would say buy it and live with the flaws but since it’s kind of a price premium piece I am much more critical.

    Solid!
No picture because what you see is what you get.Very sturdy design and enough weight for the base to remain stable. Use of rubber bumpers on the bottom also improve slip resistance. The clips are strong and rubber coated to prevent scratches.Only setback is the magnifying glass. It is glass and works well but the casing and handle are very cheap. You will remove the handle to install on the helping hands but if you use it handheld in order to utilize the 3rd clip, then you’ll understand how cheap it feels.Everything else is well thought out and solid. They even made sure the arms were stiff to help avoid unwanted movement during your work.

Balance is great (make sure you always cover the magnifier or it could ruin the glass.)
This thing is awesome and helpful. Purchased in 2023 and The only complaint I have is about a year in the Leds won’t shut off anymore completely, so I have to unplug it cause Idk, could be a fire hazard! Searching Amazon it seems to be a common problem, not sure the manufacturers have any intention of a) replacing the Corded light controller or b) replace/repair the unit. So know what your getting into when you buy.

    Surprisingly solid for the price.
I was genuinely surprised by the build quality given the low price point. The base is a nice thick heavy piece of steel and everything has terrific fit and finish. Assembly was straightforward and all necessary tools were provided. Once assembled it’s very stable and doesn’t slide around on my work surface. The magnifier is large with good power and the integrated light is very bright.

    Great sturdy and good light
I liked this as a replacement for my helping hands as the magnifying glass with lighting helps, and the articulated arms allows me to position electronics or other things easier. The base is pretty heavy so it won’t tip over easy if at all. The arms hold up well to soldering and pressure so I get a much more accurate solder of my boards. The light is powered by a USB Type cord, which seems the standard, that pugs into a standard power adapter, kind of nice options with power. The LED light is pretty bright for my needs and it is in the daylight spectrum or cool white. You can adjust the brightness which is nice too.

Very to use third hand, flexible, and stiff in good way. Had some problems with magnifying glass, I think it’s not the best quality one, but if you alight it correctly it works great. Can recommend to buy.
