Dependable warmth!
The side buttons are too sensitive. I put some thick clear tape on them and that helps a lot. Now it works great! I love having it when my hands get cold. Excellent product, just need to tweak those side buttons.

My Aorman loves this!
My son is an F16 crew chief and often works night shift on bases that get very very cold. This is perfect for him to slip in his pocket. Keeps his hands warmed up between tasks, helps him see into tight or dark spaces when working on the jet and even charges his phone! A must for any crew chief!

Works well, but they could have spent more time thinking about the buttons.
Every individual aspect of this device seems to work fine, but it feels like not quite enough thought was put into the ergonomics. The buttons for the flashlight and powersource/handwarmer are directly opposite to each other and are easy to press. Try to turn on the handwarmer and the flashlight almost inevitably will turn on. Recessed or lockable buttons would be nice. The flashlight is brighter than I expected — there’s no lens or reflector to focus the LEDs which is fine — for this device, their use is to adjust a telescope or camera, and they are plenty serviceable for that. But once the flashlight is on, you have to cycle through all the modes to get it to turn off. That’s a poor design. The first mode is the red LEDs which is a good decision because it protects your night vision. But then you have to cycle through white/flashing/SOS to turn off the flashlight, at which point your night vision is a distant memory. Better if you could press and hold to turn it off.The version I got didn’t have any rubber plugs to protect the USB charging/power ports. That would be a good addition in a device that’s going to be used out in the field. The hand warmer feature works very nicely and gets up to, I’d guess, around 100 degrees in less than a minute. So for cold weather photography, it’s going to be a definite boon.

Best for winter/outdoor activities
Pros: This little device puts out some serious heat! In less than 20 sec, it’s already warming up.Cons: The buttons are sensitive, if you put your hand in the wrong position you accidentally turn on the flashlight, then have to cycle through ALL of the light options before it turns off again. It also doesn’t take much for it to accidentally turn on inside a bag or purse, draining much of the battery. I purchased this for daily emergency hand heat, however I think it’s better suited for outdoor cold weather activity. You can’t control the heat level other than having 1 vs 2 sides on. Having both sides on is too much heat for me, but only 1 side leaves the other hand out in the cold. Pity they don’t have a high/low setting! And buttons with a bit more resistance.

Stays warm all day
I have two of these, received first one two years ago as a gift. Purchase second one this hunting season. Both work great for keeping hands warm while outside in low temperatures. Charging port works great to recharge your phone while out in the cold when your battery dies early due to the cold.I would purchase these as a gift for family and friends.

Anti-useful, even dangerous, in the field
It’s hard to overstate how badly designed these are. First and most crucially: the buttons are push-on (not slide) are take very little force to engage. Place these in a pocket or a backpack, and they’re liable to turn on accidentally and just discharge. (This seems to just have happened to me this morning: I needed one, and its battery was dead).Much more: the buttons are poorly designed, almost indistinguishable, so really the only way to know which is the ON button is if it doesn’t turn on the flashlight. (And, seriously, who needs a flashlight in a hand warmer?) The labels on the buttons (LB, PCT) are not memorable. The pouch drawstrings (2) have no cord locks, so there’s really no way to keep the pouch closed.A hand warmer should have one button, with positive tactile feedback. It should not be easy to switch on by mere jostling.

Great product
Was a Christmas present to my mother. I got the larger warmer for my father since they both are cold..both work great as well as mine I use during hunting seasons..great product.

This gets much hotter than other hand warmers I’ve bought in the past and very handy (pun intended) that it heats up on both sides. It lasts a good few hours too. The torch feature is sure to be useful too. It feels well made and is worth the money in my opinion.

It’s a good torch and a good hand warmer but when you are using it as a hand warmer and a torch on your way to the pub on a cold dark night it is very easy to accidentally press the wrong buttons and disable one or both functions.Having said that I still think it’s a great piece of kit and well worth the money.

A remarkable device and just the sort of thing that you want to have in your walking/hiking rucksack. A good, strong torch, hand warmer and phone charger in one very small package. Comes in a good quality pouch which is just the thing when using the hand warmer function. I think it represents fantastic value for money. Very impressed, well done Celestron.
RoadRunner –
Effective handwarmer spoiled by the overly sensitive control buttons. The buttons for the torch and the heat controls are on opposite edges and they require the slightest of pressure to activate or de-activate, therefore whenever you grasp it you either turn the torch on or turn the heat off. Very irritating to use. Also the USB port is an odd size, different to all my other rechargeable devices so need to use the supplied lead.

These are fab… we have one each and use them all the time… I hike a lot so it’s great for keeping my phone charged on a long walk and also keeping warm when stopping on really cold days 🙂 great having a torch just in case too…My husband is a builder and often outside in cold conditions and has attached his to a lanyard to keep inside his jacket to keep him warm 🙂
