Great for camping
Bought this for camping and it works well. Packs down nicely. Perfect for cutting larger fallen branches into smaller sections for campfires.

FABULOUS!
i have had my share of gardening equipment–i also had my own gardening company–suffice it to say that im not new to this rodeo!!i was pruning a 5-yr. old brugmansia tree when my inept pruning knife (really a jab saw) kicked the bucket–i panicked and ordered pruners similar to felco’s but when they arrived, i realized that 5/8″ by-pass pruners weren’t going to do the trick and figured that i absolutely LOVE my 5-piece fiskar scissor set i got on amazon, so figured i’d rely on buying by brand — omg! first of all, dont wait til the 11h hour to replace old pruning equipment—the difference was night n’ day–i was breaking a sweat trying to prune branches with a dull saw–the fiskars pruner cut thru the branches like they were butter!! it was effortless!!most of the folding knife pruners are “pull” only–this method of pruning –one-way–isnt in my dna–while i know that it might be a “pull only” apparatus, my default it to automatically push and pull–the one-way method to me is unnatural–pull, then reposition just to pull again?? why? … i also saw a few “push-only” types–who makes up these things? i searched multiple times, multiple days (with a half-pruned tree) before i somehow stumbled upon these fiskar pruners–hands down, worth every cent (and more!!) i can say honestly that i am still awed by the fact that three days later, i am still looking for more things to cut back–i’m sure i cut my pruning time in half –these would make a great stocking stuffer!!!

Quality
When this arrived, I didn’t realize the size compared to the other folding saws I have purchased in the past. This one is a good deal larger and I do enjoy that. Quality blade which was very sharp.

Top notch saw – Fiskar is the way to go
I’ve found Fiskars products to be a great product for their price point. Fiskar is good quality and more affordable option.I have the 16′ telescoping saw + trimmer which is fantastic, so I decided to go with this for smaller jobs closer to the ground. And over all I’m happy with it.I have a couple of physical conditions that can sometimes hold me back, but I can’t afford the brands I would normally want. I ordered this because I was shocked on how fast my current saw worked on higher branches that were pretty thick, so I got this smaller version for things closer to the ground. The feel, durability, grip and sharpness did not disappoint. This saw cut right through bigger branches quickly and with ease once you get it started. It doesn’t grab and bite into the branches as I expected. I must admit I prefer the long telescoping saw over this hand held one. It just didn’t quite meet my expectations, but still does a really decent job.

Great little saw…
This folding saw is a great tool for me as I am constantly finding things that need to be pruned off of my bushes or trees which don’t call for my power saw. This folding saw is sharp and small enough to get into tight spaces. The price is right. I am glad I added it to my gardening toolkit.

good
Update:I was trying to come up with some caveat for the review, but on closer inspection (see pics), I can’t find fault with the design. The blade is enclosed in metal (seemingly steel or steel alloy, same as the blade maybe), and the perceived flimsiness is just due to the flexibility of the blade. At most, metal on metal contact could mean that the joint could benefit from some grease to prevent rust.I also realized that the saw has a second, wide open position, though I’m not sure what the utility of it is.Old:I got this because it was on sale and it’s fiskars, which imo is a pretty good brand. It does have a slightly flimsy feel when folded, but when opened it seems as sturdy as it needs to be.It’s not harder to cut with than any other hand saw I’ve used, so I think that some reviewers may just not know how to use one. (you’re bearing down too much, trying to get too big of a bite. You need a lighter touch).I’m not sure how it would handle sideways pressure on the hinge/joint when opened, so it may not be the most robust saw ever, but it’s very lightweight and portable, so it would be good for camping/hiking, or to keep in an offroad vehicle toolkit or utv, along with maybe a small hand axe (I keep one, also by fiskars).

A great little saw to keep on hand for the smaller cuts
This is a nice little folding saw that’s appropriate for small branches. VERY sharp! Wear gloves when working with this one.
Reviewing Wombat –
Needed to take down several 5” thick dead trees. Saw didn’t balk – spend the money and buy it.
Adam –
Generally well constructed and gets emergency jobs done pretty well.
Pete –
Super sharp, use it on the trails to clear cut. Works awesome.
Erim Nelson –
Cuts good, light weight. The blade is pretty easy to bend, and the material the handle is made of is already showing some wear, but doesn’t effect the functionality

Nice sharp compact saw for under the seat of snowmobile or ATV
