Question: Can you use it without the casters?

Answer: I came back to give a definitive answer after purchasing. Yes, you absolutely can. There are three small screws per leg that hold on to the casters. Remove these, and the casters come right off… zero glue involved. You will have three small holes in the coffee table with ottomans underneath bottom of the leg, but the holes are on a small section that fits inside the caster that tapers down in diameter from the rest of the leg, so it’s not super noticeable. You also lose 1-2″ of height. For us, this was perfect, as they were a little tall with the casters on.

Additionally, we got these to put our feet on in front of our couch, and the casters made them a little too easy to push around… even on a thick rug. We constantly had to pull them back towards the couch each day. Removing the casters solved that issue. I hope this helps.. these are great for the money!
